On the morning of October 8, 2025, the Hanoi People's Committee organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the "Investment project to construct the Thuong Cat bridge and roads at both ends". This is one of the city's key projects launched to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025). Construction Management Center No. 2 (T.QX2) under Consultant and inspection joint stock company of construction technology and equipment - CONINCO, serving as the supervision consulting unit (TVGS), commits to accompanying the Project Owner and contractors to ensure the project reaches completion on schedule, safely, and with the highest quality.
The ceremony was held in Thuong Cat ward, Hanoi, with the attendance and directive speeches from comrade Duong Duc Tuan, Member of the City Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, along with leaders from departments, sectors, branches, the Project Management Board, and units implementing the project.
From CONINCO, attendees included Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director; Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Director of T.QX2; and the project supervision team.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the city people's committee Duong Duc Tuan stated that the Thuong Cat bridge is one of the vital bridges across the Hong river, and it is the sixth bridge to be commenced in 2025. The project is part of Program No. 03-CTr/TU dated March 17, 2021, of the Hanoi City Party Committee on "Urban renewal, development, and urban economy for the 2021-2025 period," listed among the city's priority key investment projects. Vice Chairman of the city people's committee Duong Duc Tuan emphasized the importance of the Thuong Cat Bridge project in completing the capital's transportation network, effectively connecting both sides of the Hong river, reducing pressure on existing bridges, and promoting socio-economic development in the northern area of the city. This is one of the key transportation projects with strategic significance, contributing to forming and completing Ring Road 3.5 according to the plan.
The project has a total investment of 7,302 billion VND from the city's budget. The project scale includes the bridge and roads at both ends with a total length of 5.226 km, of which the bridge length is 3,904.6 m. The Thuong Cat bridge is built on Ring road 3.5, connecting Thuong Cat ward (Bac Tu Liem district) and Thien Loc commune (Dong Anh district). The bridge deck is 35 meters wide, arranged with 8 lanes (6 motorized lanes and 2 non-motorized lanes). Architecturally, the bridge is designed with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete structures, with the main bridge scheme being a modern cable-stayed form. The project is expected to be constructed from 2025 to 2027, and upon completion, it will not only solve transportation issues but is also expected to become an architectural landmark at the northwest gateway of the capital.
As the supervision consulting unit, CONINCO will be responsible for supervising the construction process, ensuring that project items are implemented according to the approved design, strictly complying with technical standards, quality management processes, and occupational safety. CONINCO's participation in this key project once again affirms the company's leading reputation and capabilities in consulting and supervising complex transportation infrastructure projects.
With extensive experience proven through a series of major projects nationwide, CONINCO's team of engineers and experts commits to maximizing capabilities, professionalism, and close coordination with the Project Owner and partners to successfully complete the project, becoming a quality, sustainable work that contributes to the overall development of the capital's transportation infrastructure.
