CONINCO visits, encourages and supports the compatriots in Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province

Responding to the support encouragement from the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Vietnam Red Cross Society with the tradition of "The leaves protect tattered ones", "A stitch in time saves nine", on August 15, 2017, the delegation of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, Executive Board of Trade Union and Youth Union, led by Deputy General Director Le Ngoc Quang, visited Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province to support the compatriots in the northern provinces with a total donation of 120,000,000 VND. This place suffers from the heavy consequences of the flash floods in this August.
Departing from Hanoi in the morning of August 15, 2017, it was raining heavily, there were numerous rocky landslides on the winding and curving roads. However, they still could not stop the volunteer of CONINCO. In the early afternoon, the delegation visited the headquarters of the People's Committee of Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province and met the Reception Support Committee. Mr. Le Ngoc Minh - Chairman of Fatherland Front Committee of Mu Cang Chai district, said that the whole district had 14 dead and missing, 39 houses were completely collapsed, hundreds of houses were partially destroyed, a lot of flowers and property of people are washed away by the flood, ...

At the time when the delegation arrived, there were still such many areas affected by severe landslide that the people still suffered isolation. Thanks to the enthusiastic guidance of the Red Cross staff of Mu Cang Chai district, the delegation made efforts to directly go to Kim Noi commune to support 5 households with 6 dead and missing; encouraged the families to overcome the consequences as well as stabilize the life and production activities.

On behalf of the local authorities and people, Mr. Le Ngoc Minh - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Mu Cang Chai District sent good wishes and sincere thanks to the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and all staffs of CONINCO for their concern and enthusiasm to come and share difficulties with the compatriots as well as present meaningful gifts. Mr. Minh promised to use the donation of CONINCO as well as the people all over the country in practical and effective way to overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters, soon stabilize the life for the local people.
The delegation of CONINCO supports the families having the death and disappearance with 5,000,000 VND each; supports Hoa Lan Kindergarten (Mu Cang Chai town) with 10,000,000 VND; supports the Primary School and Secondary School in Mu Cang Chai town with 10.000.000 VND; At the same time, 30,000,000 VND is transferred into the fund for rebuilding houses for the people in the flood zone of the district.
