The first 6/25 completion certificates of Building Engery Similation Using OpenStudio course in Vietnam are granted to CONINCO

After the successful basic course Training course of intensive and interactive practice to improve energy simulation for Architects and Engineers dated on June 09 to June 11, 2016, Building Engery Similation Using OpenStudio course was organized at the headquarters of Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment – CONINCO (CONINCO) – No. 4 Ton That Tung, Trung Tu ward, Dong Da district, Ha Noi for two days of July 21st and July 22nd, 2016.

This is a advanced training course to complete USAID Vietnam Clean Energy Program, for architects and construction engineers, heating and ventilation engineers, evaluation staff of Ministry of Construction/ Department of Construction, lecturers of University of Architecture, Engineering; chief project officer, construction engineers, postgraduate students of architecture, design. 

Mr.Joseph J. Deringer – Chief Consultant of Winrock International of USAID Vietnam Clean Energy Programwas in charge of the training course, together with the speakers such as Mr.Mack Wallance, MSc.Tran Thanh Vu and Mr. Cu Nguyen Khanh – Engineer, Energy simulation expert.

Attending the course, attendees had opportunities to listen and practice skills of: Energy simulation of high-rise office buildings, Measures for PTAC air-condition, Comparing the model using PTA and Chiller air-condition, The process calibratesthe renovated building model– Typical examples: Capital Building, Introduction to programming measure, Introduction to measure of creating windows and practical analysis of input parameters of the window, Practicing data entry and simulating the lighting using natural light … Shared experiences of the speakers are values to trainees during the process of research, study and completing their own skills.

At the end of the course, participants took the evaluation test and were granted certificates of USAID Vietnam Clean Energy Programand “Building Energy Similation Using OpenStudio” course by USAID.

USAID Vietnam Clean Energy Program, which is supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), cooperates with Ministry of Construction to implement projects reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the construction sector of Vietnam through implementing “Energy Efficiency Building Code - QCVN 09:2013/BXD” and promoting the development of green building. 
MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM
·     - To reduce from 30% to 50% of energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG)
To improve knowledge and capacity in the construction industry in Vietnam

To build the first National databaseonEnergy consumption in buildings

To build Input System and data management for the existing and going-to-build construction in Vietnam  
- Training Program
To implement a Training Program to produce and operate the energy-saving and green buildings.         
- Performed work
To perform examples of actual projects to demonstrate energy savings from 30% to 50% compared to the original design.
