State Inspection Council for Acceptance of Construction Works inspects the Long Thanh International Airport project

On November 22nd and 23th, the working group of the Standing Office of the State Inspection Council for Acceptance of Construction Works, led by Mr. Bui Xuan Dung, Deputy Minister of Construction and Permanent Vice Chairman of the State Inspection Council, inspected the implementation of construction work for the first phase of the Long Thanh International Airport project.
Accordingly, the working group inspected the key construction steps of the project to ensure the facility can be put into operation immediately after completion. During this inspection, the State Inspection Council's working group paid special attention to site leveling, excavation and backfilling, steel structure, and materials used for the construction.
After 2 days of on-site inspection, testing work, and document review together with the project owner, Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the construction contractor joint ventures, and the supervision consultant joint ventures, the experts the working group highly appreciated the construction management, quality control, and material preparation, particularly the large-capacity concrete batching plants at the construction site.
Regarding the site leveling work, the working group recognized the efforts of ACV and the contractors in ensuring the quality of site leveling, with some previous issues having been resolved. At the same time, the working group suggested that under the current favorable weather conditions, the contractors of the various packages should focus on deploying additional personnel to accelerate progress and make up for any delays. Additionally, the working group provided some technical comments and gave specific recommendations to ensure the project is completed on schedule with the highest quality.
The Long Thanh International Airport project is a monumental project of the century with a massive scale, complex nature, and extremely high requirements for quality and technology. The project has received the utmost attention and high expectations the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, and the people. This is a project of critical importance for the ry's socio-economic development, symbolizing Vietnam's ascent and progress in the management of the aviation sector, as well as the capabilities and expertise of Vietnamese enterprises in technology transfer, construction techniques, and development of modern transportation infrastructure.
