CONINCO Leadership Inspects the Progress of Key Projects in Phu Quoc

Continuing the spirit of resolute direction from the recent working trip of Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc regarding the acceleration of infrastructure serving APEC 2027, on May 22 and 23, 2026, Deputy General Director Nguyen Huu Truong, together with Mr. Tran Xuan Duong – Director of the Investment and Project Development Center (T.DA), conducted a field inspection of the key projects under CONINCO's construction supervision in Phu Quoc. The working trip aimed to assess actual conditions and provide direct guidance at the spearhead projects, affirming the company's capacity and responsibility for the progress and quality of the works on Pearl Island.

At the APEC Conference Center project, the delegation surveyed the key construction areas, particularly the ocean-wave-inspired steel roof structure with its 81-meter column-free span currently being erected. According to a consolidated report from the construction supervision (CS) team, the project's progress to date has remained closely aligned with the established plan. Overcoming the challenges of the island's maritime weather, CONINCO's team of engineers has remained on site day and night, coordinating closely with the contractors to maintain a rapid construction pace while keeping safety and quality standards as the foremost priority.

During the direct working meeting at the project office, Deputy General Director Nguyen Huu Truong acknowledged and commended the tireless working spirit of all CONINCO CS engineers and staff. He requested that the CS team continue to bring its professional expertise into full play, strictly control the items transitioning into the finishing phase, proactively prepare complex technical solutions, and allocate resources appropriately to ensure the project's completion and handover on the set schedule.

In parallel with the project serving the international conference, Deputy General Director Nguyen Huu Truong also conducted an on-site inspection of the Bai Dat Do Mixed-Use Urban Area construction site. This is a large-scale urban infrastructure project that plays an important role in shaping the architectural space and promoting socio-economic development in the southern part of the island. Through the inspection, the company's leadership required the CS team here to adhere closely to the design drawings and strictly control the quality of input materials and the contractors' construction methods. Deputy General Director Nguyen Huu Truong emphasized that, for a modern mixed-use urban area, ensuring the synchronization between technical infrastructure and the urban landscape is the core factor in creating sustainable value for the project.
