NIHON SEKKEI and CONINCO Association won the first prize of Architectural Competition for work: Construction and Enlargement of the Office for Supreme People’s Procuracy

In October 2012, NIHON SEKKEI and CONINCO Association was honorably received Decision No. 117/QĐ-VKSTC-VP of the Supreme People’s Procuracy dated on October 5th, 2012 on approval of 1st ranking plan in architectural competition for work: Construction and Enlargement of the Office for Supreme People’s Procuracy in Cau Giay district, Hanoi city.
The Supreme People’s Procuracy is a central agency, which directs, operates all activities of the People’s Procuracy of provinces, cities in the whole country and international cooperation in justice managed by procuracy. Before situation of open economy with many sectors, disputes on economic and penal crime can not be avoided. Therefore, design requirements of work content and scale must satisfy and conform with bigger and bigger work volume. To implement plan of construction and enlargement of the Office for Supreme People’s Procuracy, on August 15th, 2012, Supreme People’s Procuracy Office invited units with enough capacity to participate in architectural competition. Consultant and Inspection Joint stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment – CONINCO associated with Nihon Sekkei Inc., (Japan) to formulate and submit document of competition plan. Participating in this competition, there were 04 other consultant units complying with this field.
After discussing, evaluating fairly and seriously, Selection Council made official decision to approve result of architectural competition for project: the Office for Supreme People’s Procuracy with the 1st prize belonging to NIHON SEKKEI and CONINCO Association. The Association was honorably chosen to implement next steps.

Based on norms under requirements of using area of project, NIHON SEKKEI and CONINCO Association researched design plan to bring the correlation between plan volume and height of construction work in order to create a block showing the power and solidity. General plan solved absolutely the correlation to neighboring works by bedding building in the East of land lot, supplying a small square to decrease area opposite to office building of Students’ newspaper. Small square creates a green landscape for guests and staff working in the building. Setback space is created suitably, depth of ahead landscape is 32,1 m, which creates a square serving rites, events conformable with specific activities of the Supreme People’s Procuracy – one of civil authorities of Vietnam.
Space-planning of building is block including: two solid blocks in two sides stick out strongly, cascade block in the middle is flexible, which shows internal power, creates the order.
Beside design gets aesthetic requirement, design idea remarks the solemnity, power, justice, it is friendly, different, unique in comparison to neighboring works; Association has been also appreciated on planning, technical, structural, M&E system design solution with detailed analysis of land using status, infrastructure of land lot, conditions of climate, geology, etc and methods to repair.
