Pacific Northwest National Laboratory visits CONINCO

On January 19th, 2016, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory – U.S. Department of Energy (PNNL) led by Ms. Meredydd Evans visited and worked at the headquatnd Procedure of inspecting and reviewing the construction works in Vietnam. As a result, the meeting efficiently serves for checking and reviewingVietnamese standards QCVN09:2013/BXD.

Afterwards, the delegation visits the laboratory LAS-XD 60 located in the headquaters of CONINCO and confirmed the possibilities of trial test and experiments of construction materials, site and environment experiments, especially test equipment for light and heat criteria (SHGC, VTL,U-value).

The meeting occurred in intimate atmosphere. Ms. Meredydd Evans, the representative of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, gave thanks to CONINCO’s hospitality, expressed impressions with achievements ofthe company, showing new co-operation for construction and implementation of Vietnamese specifications and standards on construction works using energyefficiently.

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) has worked with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Vietnam, assisting Ministry of Construction in development and implementation Vietnamese Standards on construction works using energy efficiently. PNNL’s experts also cooperates with Vietnam Institute for Building Materials (VIBM) to evaluate standards of test system, evaluate and label the construction materials in Vietnam.
