The CONINCO leadership delegation inspects the supervision and consultancy work of the North-South expressway component project, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section.

On September 21, 2023, the Project Steering Committee of the North-South Expressway, under the Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO.,JSC), conducted an inspection of the progress of the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section of the project. The project starts at Km514+300, connecting with the endpoint of the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi section (located in Thach Xuan commune, Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province). The endpoint is at Km568+496.07, connecting with the starting point of the Vung Ang - Bung section (located in Ky Tan commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh province). The total length of the route is approximately 54.20 km, constructed according to the 120-grade expressway standards, with a design speed of 120 km/h. The design phase is divided into stages, with a speed limit of 80 km/h. The total investment for the project is 9,734.62 billion Vietnamese dong. The Major Construction Projects Management Center (T.QD) is the direct unit responsible for the supervision and consultancy work of the project.

In the inspection session, there were Mr. Phan Ngoc Cuong - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director, Head of the Committee; Mr. Nguyen Luong Binh - Deputy General Director, Head of the Technical Management Department, Deputy Head of the Committee; Mr. Nguyen Huu Truong - Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Huy Anh - Deputy General Director; Mr. Tran Thanh Hai - Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Chairman of the Labor Union; and leaders the management department and project implementation unit.

Commenced on January 1, 2023, during the Western New Year holiday, the project involved a substantial amount of work and urgent progress. Therefore, the CONINCO supervision team has promptly made preparations in terms of infrastructure, resources, and manpower to ensure the necessary conditions and equipment for construction supervision. On the inspection day, the Steering Committee worked at the project's on-site office in Village 7, Cam Quang commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province. The CONINCO consulting team reported on the progress of the project's various components. This project is one of the significant projects in the transportation sector, aiming to enhance transportation capacity and provide favorable conditions for economic development and trade in the region. Consequently, the Project Management Unit, CONINCO supervision team, construction units, and relevant organizations have set the goal of accelerating the project's schedule to ensure it does not delay the project plan. However, during the implementation process, there have been some challenges such as shortages of earth and sand materials and changes in technical design documents, which have affected the overall progress of the project. To address these issues, the CONINCO team has closely coordinated with the investor to monitor the schedule, propose measures to improve construction quality, and ensure labor safety. The contractors have been encouraged to mobilize sufficient machinery and labor at the construction site to make up for the work volume, ensuring the project is completed on schedule.

The site clearance for the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang project has been completed in principle, and the shortage of land for filling has also been resolved.

On the same day, the CONINCO North-South Expressway Project Steering Committee conducted an inspection at the project site to understand the issues and provide guidance for implementation. Currently, the project site has been largely prepared, and the issue of the shortage of land for filling has been resolved. Therefore, the Emloyer, CONINCO supervision team, and construction contractors should take advantage of favorable weather conditions and work tirelessly to accelerate construction progress and ensure the project is completed ahead of schedule. At the project site, General Director Phan Ngoc Cuong and Chairman of the Labor Union Nguyen Thanh Binh presented encouragement gifts to motivate the spirit of the supervision team. The General Director and the working delegation hoped that the consulting engineers will continue to utilize their skills, experience, and responsibility to successfully fulfill their tasks. The General Director particularly emphasized the importance of implementing expressway projects in promoting business operations and expanding the company's market. Therefore, the General Director requested the CONINCO consulting team to ensure close supervision, optimize efficiency in on-site activities, and ensure the project's legal compliance, construction quality, and progress.
