03 CONINCO Architects are granted as ASEAN Architects

On May 16, 2017, at the 30th meeting of the ASEAN Architect Council (AAC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 05 Architects of Vietnam was recognized as ASEAN architects, in which there were 03 CONINCO architects including: Arch. Nguyen Dang Quang - Deputy General Director of CONINCO cum Director of Architectural Center 1, Arch. Bui Ngoc Luong - Center of Survey and Design, Arch. Tran Duc Tai - Architectural Center 1.
1. Arch. Nguyen Dang Quang - Deputy General Director cum Director of Architectural Center 1:

The time of integration is opening up new practice markets for Vietnamese architects. Therefore, becoming an ASEAN Architect is a positive preparation step to support CONINCO's architects to access to the practice markets in ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) countries, bringing the key to integration and development opportunities for CONINCO architects in particular and Vietnamese architects in general in the coming time.
The title of ASEAN Architect is recognized by the ASEAN Architects Council and granted to an architect through a rigorous evaluation process. The architects shall, after being recognized, be registered in the ASEAN Architects Register and published on the Official Website of the ASEAN Architects Council. Being an ASEAN Architect will facilitate the movement of ASEAN Architects and enhance the exchange of information and use best practices based on the standards of architectural training, practice and professional qualifications.

In the context of the number of architects in Vietnam with about 18,000 architects, of which almost two thirds direct architectural practice, the competition of Vietnam's 90 million market is unavoidable. More than 20 years of Vietnam joining Asean, a huge potential market with more than 600 million people is the door for the Vietnamese architects to show their talent, creativity and passion. Therefore, if Vietnamese architecture wants to intergrate internationally, the licensed architects in ASEAN countries and legally protected by these countries are on demand, so that we can eliminate the "Still a long way far from them". Our architectural training should alos focus on training future generations who are good at foreign languages, knowledge, passion and struggle for Vietnamese architecture in international markets.

Hopefully, more architecture of Vietnam in general and architects of CONINCO in particular will be recognized as ASEAN Architect to confirm the value of Vietnam gray matter in the international integration, marking the background of Vietnamese architecture in the region and reach out the international level.
