Australian Prime Minister visits the Vietnam F1  circuit project in Hanoi

During the official visit to Vietnam, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison visited the construction site of the Vietnamese Formula 1 circuit project in Hanoi on August 23 - where the F1 race Vietnam Grand Prix, slated for April 2020. Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO., JSC) is the unit that carries out project management and supervision consultancy for this project.

Joining the delegation were Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister, Vu Duc Dam also attended the reception alongside a delegation of high-level Vietnam Government officials, Hanoi City leaders, representatives of the Vingroup, and the senior management team of the Vietnam Grand Prix Corporation - the unit authorized by Hanoi City to host the race, and the Contractors participating in the project. On CONINCO's side, there were Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Member of the BoM, Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Van Binh - Director of Construction Management Center No. 2 and the supervision engineers at the project.

Hanoi Formula 1 race started on March 20, 2019, along with the executive center building and temporary items, the event area was deployed on a total area of 88 hectares, including new construction on the campus of My Dinh Sports Complex and apart on the current public transport. The race is more than 5.5 km long, including 22 bends that are inherited and inspired by the world's most fascinating tracks in Germany, Monaco, Japan… This will be the only place that allows riders to show off high speed on a long straight track and show their skills at the tricky bends of a street race, creating one of the dramatic races. After just 4 months of construction, the executive center building - the largest scale of Hanoi F1 race track has completed the topping out stage and is in the process of finishing. With the street racing, the local contractors are doing the renovation before scraping and spreading new asphalt surface according to Grade 1 standards - F1 racing.

At the new construction race track, the construction of the foundations has been completed. Other items of the track such as overpasses, stands, safety fences, media centers ... are also being prepared and implemented as planned. The entire construction and infrastructure is expected to be completed by December 31, 2019, to the Formula 1 racing tournament in Hanoi in April 2020 organized according to the schedule of F1 Group and International Automobile Federation (FIA), meeting the expectations of the people and the fans.

Speaking at the construction site of Hanoi F1 race track, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said: “The new F1 circuit in Vietnam will help put Hanoi and Vietnam on the world's sporting map. This event will lay the foundation to prove Vietnam's capacity when organizing important international sporting events, as well as tourism potential”.

At the construction site, Member of the BoM, Deputy General Director Nguyen Manh Tuan checked the construction items.
