CONINCO was honored as a high-quality supervision construction contractor in 2020

In the afternoon of July 1, 2020, the Ministry of Construction held the Award Ceremony for the quality of construction works, phase 4, 2019, and phase 1/2020. The Van Don - Quang Ninh International Airport Project in which Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO.,JSC) is in charge of the general contractor providing consulting service for supervision of airside and runway navigation system, was honored in this awards ceremony.

Attending the ceremony, there were Mr. Le Quang Hung - Deputy Minister of Construction, Chairman of the Award Council, and Mr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Le - Chairman of Vietnam Construction Union (VCU.).

Regarding CONINCO, there was Mr. Le Kim Lieu - Chief of supervision consultants delegation of Van Don International Airport project.

Van Don international airport started in 2015 in Doan Ket commune, Van Don district (Quang Ninh province), with an area of 325 ha, invested in the form of BOT with a total investment of 7,463 billion dongs, of which Provincial book is 734 billion. With 22 items in the airside area (runway, taxiway, apron) and 27 items of the landside area, the highlights of transport infrastructure were invested in the form of BOT. This is an airport of grade 4E (according to International Civil Aviation Organization's standard code - ICAO) and military airport grade II - which can accommodate large aircraft. A special impression in the design of Van Don airport is the bold details of the mountain, of Van Don beach, Ha Long Bay - the symbol of Quang Ninh. The roof of the station is like triangular sails stacked together facing the big sea. The air traffic control tower is like a lighthouse that stands out in the middle of Van Don bay area

The airport has a capacity of 2.5 million passengers per year, the peak hour can accommodate 1,250 passengers. The apron system shall reach at least four aircraft standing positions by 2020; by 2030 expand to at least seven aircraft standing positions.

The airport intends to operate routes to and from Northeast Asian countries (South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan) and Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia). In the domestic market, the investor focuses on the central and southern regions such as Hue, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Da Lat, and Phu Quoc.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung, Chairman of the Award Council said, The award of construction quality which was developed from the campaign "Quality assurance of the quality of construction products" launched by the Ministry of Construction and the Vietnam Construction Union, is one of the most important events of the construction industry. This award is to honor the units who have made great efforts and dedication in creating high-quality construction works and bidding packages. The award is held annually with the object of construction works, bidding packages in industries such as Civil construction, transportation, industry, agriculture, and rural development..

Appreciating the efforts of the investor, the contractor has maintained and participated enthusiastically in creating quality products, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung expected construction enterprises in general and companies receiving the award of high-quality construction work and bidding packages for the fourth phase of 2019 and the first phase of 2020 in particular will strive to create even more high-quality construction works and bidding packages
