The Consortium of MAGYAR – VMD – BDCC – CONINCO – AZUSA signs a EPC Contract for the most modern Oncology Hospital in the Mekong Delta

On August 8th, 2017, at Can Tho, the Consortium of MAGYAR – VMD – BDCC – CONINCO – AZUSA and Department of Health of Can Tho city signed the contract of Package No.1 for Construction Investment Project of Can Tho Oncology Hospital including general contractor for design, supply, installation of technology, equipment, and construction.

Attending the signing ceremony, there were Ms. Vo Thi Hong Anh – Vice President of Can Tho People’s Committee, Dr. CKII Bui Thi Le Phi – Director of Can Tho Department of Health and five consortium contractors including MAGYAR and VMD (Hungary), Bach Dang Construction Corporation, Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment - CONINCO and AZUSA SEKKEI (Japan).

The representatives of CONINCO were Mr. Nguyen Huy Anh –  Deputy General Director and Ms. Nguyen Thi Lua – Deputy Director of Center for Mechanical and Electrical Technology and Energy Project. CONINCO takes responsibility for services of design, author supervision, and coordinating EPC General Contractor in this project.

The investment project to build Can Tho Oncology Hospital with a scale of 500 beds has the total investment of nearly 1.8 trillion dong, of which the Hungarian government's ODA loan amounted to € 56.99 million (equivalent to nearly $ 1.4 trillion), accounting for 80.8% of the Hungarian government's ODA investment capital. The reciprocal capital of Can Tho city is nearly 333 billion dong, accounting for 19.2%.

Can Tho Oncology Hospital is designed in the form “Hospital - Hotel” with the advanced equipment and methods of oncology treatment in order to reduce costs, match the affordability of the people in the Mekong Delta. This will also be the leading center for researching, training on the treatment of oncology in Vietnam.

The signing ceremony took place successfully, once again confirming the position and coverage of CONINCO in the key health building.
