AMDI-CONINCO-BMEC Joint Venture signs Consulting Service Contract No. CS-1  Project No. 03606 -LAO: Urban Development Project the Mekong Sub-region Corridor Phase 4  funded by Development Bank Asia

On March 11, 2019, in Vientiane, Democratic People's Republic of Laos held a Signing Ceremony of Consulting Service Contract No. CS-01 Project No. 0606-LAO: Development Project Mekong Delta Sub-region Metropolitan Area Phase 4 funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Attending the signing ceremony, on the Laos side, there were Mr. Bounmy Phimasone, Vice Chairman of Khammoun province; Dr. Somphone Dethoudom, Advisor Minister of Transport and Public Works; Mr. Khamthavy Thaiphachanh, Director of Department of Housing and Urban Affairs; representatives of departments, branches and departments of Bolikhamxay and Khammoun provinces; representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Management Board of the Urban Development Project of the Greater Mekong Sub-region Corridor Phase 4 (GMS4).

On the partnership side, there were Joint Venture Representatives – Asian Management Development and Institute - AMDI: Mr. Ngo Cong Chinh - Director; BMEC Company: Mr. Bounma Thammavong - Director and experts of the Company. From CONINCO: Dr. Nguyen Dac Phuong - Head of Division of Market and International Relations Department; Dr. Luong Thi Ngoc Huyen - Director of Center for Scientific Research and Training. Dr Phương and Dr. Huyen is the 02 experts of CONINCO who directly participate in this project.

Development Project Mekong Delta Sub-region Metropolitan Area Phase 4 (GMS CTDP4) will support Democratic People's Republic of Laos government to improve urban environmental services and enhance regional economic connectivity in Paksan and Thakhek, two towns located along the North-South Economic Corridor of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). Funding for: (i) sewage network and eight small-scale wastewater treatment facilities to improve sanitation; (ii) two controlled landfills and solid waste and urban waste collection facilities to improve waste collection and management, (iii) improve drainage and river bank protection, (iv) improving the old town center to promote regional tourism in Thakhek, and; (v) city master plan to promote regional economic connectivity.

The project will accelerate urban node development along the North-South Economic Corridor of the Greater Mekong Subregion in Democratic People's Republic of Laos and promote the 8th National Socio-Economic Development Plan every five years, 2016 - 2020 of Greater Mekong Subregion aims to balance regional and local development.

Thorough the rigorous selection process of the Asian Development Bank and the GMS 4 PMU, the AMDI-CONINCO-BMEC consortium has received the trust and appreciation to empower the service for advising on this project. This project requires high technical requirements, thus confirming the quality of CONINCO consulting team with experience and expertise, CONINCO had been selected to implement the project as an international expert. CONINCO commits to complete the tasks in the project with the best quality according to the Owner's required schedule. From there, accumulate more experience and knowledge to be able to bring the company's high quality consulting services "export" to regional and Asian markets.
