On May 6, 2023, Hai Phong City People's Committee held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Convention Center - City Performance and the synchronous technical infrastructure system in the North Cam River urban area project. The project has a total investment of more than VND 2,336 billion from the city's budget. This is an important event to celebrate the 68th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2023), the 133rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2023) and major holidays in May. Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO., JSC) provides construction supervision consulting services.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Comrade Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Hai Phong City National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Bui Van Cuong – General Secretary of the National Assembly, Chairman of National Assembly Office; Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien – Minister of Industry and Trade; Senior Lieutenant General Vu Hai San - Deputy Minister of National Defense and leaders of Hai Phong city, representatives of local departments and agencies.
On the side of CONINCO, there were Mr. Phan Ngoc Cuong - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director; Mr. Nguyen Viet Tinh - Director of Construction Management Center, Head of Hai Phong Representative Office, together with the construction supervision team performing tasks at the project.
The project "Convention Center - City Performance and the synchronous technical infrastructure system in the North Cam River urban area" is one of the key projects on urban infrastructure development of Hai Phong city, built in Tan Duong commune, Thuy Nguyen district. The center is designed in a round, soft shape like the image of waves and rivers with a scale of 1,500 seats with 3 floors, 1 basement built on an area of nearly 12.4 hectares; roof top height is 36.5m; total floor area of nearly 50,000 m2; with auxiliary works and synchronous technical infrastructure system...
The architecture of the project is unique and has the characteristics of Hai Phong estuarine area. From a distance, the circular shape represents a special area for cultural exchange activities. At the same time, the architecture protrudes forward with a deep eaves, creating an image reminiscent of the brim of a conical hat, improving the effectiveness of rain and sun protection. The project, expected to be completed in 2025, will be a multi-purpose building, qualified to organize large-scale events such as international conferences, seminars, art performances, ... making an important contribution in the construction and development of Hai Phong to become a leading city in the whole country in the cause of industrialization and modernization; the driving force for the development of the Northern region and the whole country.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung – Chairman of the Hai Phong municipal People's Committee affirmed that Hai Phong Convention and Performance Center is a project of high architectural value. In order to finish this important work soon, in time to serve the 17th Party Congress of the city, he suggested the contractors to concentrate human and material resources; organize the construction of 3 shifts per day; construct during public holidays, Tet holiday for the work to be inaugurated in mid-2025. Special attention should be paid to the quality. y of the works, technical assurance, fine art, and labor safety.
