Opening the working session, Dr. Ha Minh – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CONINCO – extended a warm welcome to Dr. Xiao Bo and the delegation upon their official visit to the company’s headquarters. In the context where transportation infrastructure is one of the prioritized development sectors, CONINCO has always strived to seek and establish relationships with partners possessing world-class technology platforms and management experience. With nearly five decades of building and development under the philosophy “Assurance for the future,” CONINCO is currently a leading company in the field of construction consulting in Vietnam. Its core capabilities have been firmly demonstrated through a series of key national symbolic projects. Chairman of the Board Dr. Ha Minh expressed the hope that CMCT would become an important strategic partner of CONINCO in the coming time.
Thanking Chairman Dr. Ha Minh and CONINCO’s leadership for the warm reception, the Chinese delegation representative noted that CMCT belongs to China Merchants Group – one of China’s largest corporations with a history of over 150 years. A highlight of CMCT’s capabilities is its strong focus on research and development (R&D), allocating up to 10% of annual revenue to solving complex national-level technical problems. With 60 years of experience amid China’s infrastructure boom, CMCT possesses superior strengths in the design of large-span bridges, roads, and tunnels, as well as the operation of large-scale laboratory systems. In particular, CMCT is at the forefront of urban old-area redevelopment and transportation infrastructure upgrading – a field with great potential in the future. Therefore, during the session, Dr. Xiao Bo also put forward practical cooperation proposals between CMCT and CONINCO.
In response to the partner’s sharing, General Director Nguyen Dang Quang expressed deep impression with CMCT’s scale. He noted that Vietnam is entering a strong infrastructure growth cycle, with current projects often being multi-sector complexes combining civil works, infrastructure, and roads. Therefore, combining CONINCO’s core strength in civil consulting with CMCT’s outstanding capabilities in transportation infrastructure forms an ideal cooperation model.
Based on the actual scale and capabilities of both CONINCO and CMCT, the leaders of the two sides openly exchanged their core strengths and held in-depth discussions on potential cooperation opportunities in four main areas: planning and design; application of new technologies and inspection; renovation and upgrading of infrastructure; and development of professional training plans.
The Chinese delegation fully agreed with the directions of the Chairman of the Board and General Director of CONINCO, and respectfully invited CONINCO’s leadership to arrange a visit to their facilities, research centers, and actual projects in China. The meeting concluded successfully, marking an important milestone in the cooperative relationship between the two sides.
