On the morning of June 20, 2026, at the 11th-floor Hall of CONINCO TOWER Headquarters, Consulting Division 3 of the Consultancy on Technology, Equipment and Construction Inspection JSC – CONINCO held a thematic seminar on BIM (Building Information Management) to discuss and seek solutions for applying BIM in design consultancy activities.
The program was attended by: Architect Nguyen Phuoc Thien – Vietnam's leading expert in BIM technology; Architect Pham Tien Thang – Director of Consulting Division 3 and Director of Architecture Center 2; Architect Nguyen Tuan Anh – Director of Architecture Center 1; together with engineers and architects from the affiliated units.

At the seminar, Architect Nguyen Phuoc Thien shared the practical issues that organizations and individuals in the construction industry are facing during the implementation of BIM in Vietnam. The main professional content revolved around: the purpose of working with BIM (WHY), how to work with BIM (HOW), and each specific task to be carried out to meet requirements (WHAT). For the first time, BIGBIM — a BIM term — was announced and introduced by Architect Nguyen Phuoc Thien as a technical document setting out the philosophy, direction, and techniques for implementing construction investment projects for buildings and urban transport infrastructure, etc., in Vietnam, based on international standards such as ISO, BS, and Uniclass, with the aim of creating long-lasting digital assets (over 50–100 years) for society. The unique philosophy of BIGBIM lies in positioning the information model as a “digital memory” that retains valuable information throughout the building's life cycle, providing data that ensures it is CORRECT – SUFFICIENT – CLEAN – LIVING. During the program, Architect Nguyen Phuoc Thien also directly used AI to introduce methods and techniques for governance and management according to the purpose and objectives set out by BIGBIM — a breakthrough that opens up techniques for organizing, managing, and exploiting the “digital memory.”
According to Architect Nguyen Phuoc Thien, BIGBIM is not only a design-support tool but also a data-based working method, contributing to creating and managing the digital assets of works in Vietnam according to international standards.
Speaking at the program, Architect Nguyen Tuan Anh emphasized the role of BIM and the selection of BIGBIM as a foundational platform in the digital transformation strategy of Consulting Division 3 and CONINCO. He also affirmed that researching, applying, and gradually mastering digital technologies is an indispensable requirement to enhance consulting capacity, increase competitiveness, and meet the increasingly high demands of the construction market.
The seminar took place in an atmosphere of open exchange, drawing many discussion contributions from the architects and engineers of the Company's units. The program was an opportunity for CONINCO staff to access new technology trends, contributing to advancing the digital transformation process and the application of BIM in the Company's production and business activities.
