CONINCO and AZUSA SEKKEI (Japan): Aligning Visions, Expanding Cooperation

On the morning of April 1, 2026, at CONINCO TOWER headquarters, Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment – CONINCO (CONINCO., JSC) welcomed and held discussions with the leadership delegation of Azusa Sekkei Group (Japan) and Azusa Sekkei Vietnam. The meeting not only further strengthened the decade-long friendship between the two sides but also opened up new strategic directions for cooperation as Vietnam’s construction industry enters a period of historic transformation.

Representing CONINCO were Dr. Ha Minh – Chairman of the Board of Directors; Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Bich – Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang – General Director; Mr. Le Thanh Minh – Deputy General Director; together with leaders from the Business Management Department and the Board Assitance Office.

Representing Azusa Sekkei were Mr. Mikihiro Matsuyama – Executive Director of the Architecture Division, Azusa Sekkei Group, and General Director of Azusa Sekkei Vietnam; and Mr. Kaito Sakai – Director of the Architecture Division, Azusa Sekkei Group, and Deputy General Director of Azusa Sekkei Vietnam. 
Opening the session, Dr. Ha Minh extended a warm welcome to the Japanese delegation. Reflecting on their shared history, he recalled fond memories of his visit to Japan ten years ago for Azusa Sekkei's 70th anniversary. As the Group approaches its 80th-anniversary milestone, CONINCO highly values the impressive growth and transformation Azusa Sekkei has achieved.

Leaders of both sides discuss strategic directions for the coming period 

Discussing the bilateral partnership, Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang noted that since the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2016 and the Supplemental Cooperation Agreement in 2023, the CONINCO – Azusa Sekkei consortium has delivered a number of landmark projects in Vietnam, including the T2 Passenger Terminal Building – Phu Bai International Airport, the T2 Passenger Terminal Building – Dong Hoi International Airport, and the 108 Military Central Hospital. Mutual understanding and trust have been the key factors behind these achievements. 
Mr. Mikihiro Matsuyama expressed sincere gratitude for CONINCO’s companionship over the years. Regarding future goals, he highlighted:
•    Core Strengths: Azusa Sekkei will continue to share its expertise in airports, hospitals, sports facilities, and logistics, contributing to Vietnam’s essential infrastructure development.
•    Market Expansion: In Vietnam, the firm aims to strengthen its presence in the residential and commercial sectors, including high-rise apartment complexes, hotels, shopping malls, and corporate offices.
•    Local Partnership: To achieve this, Azusa Sekkei seeks the continued support and coordination of CONINCO—a leading consultant with profound local market insights.

In response, Dr. Ha Minh expressed high agreement, affirming that CONINCO is ready to stand side-by-side with Azusa Sekkei. He noted that Vietnam is entering a new development phase with macroeconomic policies at breakthrough economic growth. This serves as a vital foundation for the Government to prioritize key public investment and infrastructure projects, especially the national airport network, healthcare facilities and expressways to continue being strongly prioritized for implementation by the Government in the coming time.". With a team of over 1,500 experienced engineers and architects, CONINCO is prepared to be a reliable strategic partner to ensure the success of current projects and pursue promising new opportunities.

The meeting concluded with both leadership teams agreeing to maintain regular communication and ensure adequate human resources to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
