CONINCO and OC Global (Japan): High-Level Meeting on Shared Vision and Strategic Infrastructure Development

On the afternoon of May 7, 2026, at CONINCO Tower, the leadership of Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO) held a formal reception and working session with a high-level delegation from Oriental Consultants Global (OC Global - Japan). The meeting marked an important step forward in strengthening bilateral ties and expanding strategic cooperation opportunities between two leading engineering consultancy firms from Vietnam and Japan.

Attending the meeting on CONINCO’s side were Dr. Ha Minh – Chairman of the Board of Directors and host of the meeting; Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang – General Director; Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan – Member of the Board and Deputy General Director; Mr. Le Nguyen Giap – Deputy General Director; Ms. Pham Thuy Linh – Manager of Business Management Department; Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Chau – Deputy Chief of the BoD Assistance Office; and Mr. Do Nhu Duc – Director of the Center for International Cooperation and Consultancy.
On the partner's side, the OC Global delegation was led by Mr. Yonezawa Eiji – President of the Group; accompanied by Mr. Mori Mutsuya – Vice President; Mr. Yamamoto Kenichi – Executive Director of Business Development; and Dr. Phan Le Binh – Chief Representative of the OCG Hanoi Office.

Opening the session, Chairman Dr. Ha Minh extended a warm welcome to Mr. Yonezawa Eiji and the delegation, expressing high regard for the long-standing relationship between the two parties, evidenced by a history of successful joint projects. The Chairman emphasized that CONINCO highly values the global capacity, experience, and professionalism of its Japanese partners, particularly OC Global. With a strong focus on developing transportation infrastructure in Vietnam—especially in the railway sector over the next five years—CONINCO aims to build a more methodical and extensive cooperation strategy with OC Global.

In response to the warm reception, Mr. Yonezawa Eiji, President of OC Global, expressed his sincere gratitude and was impressed by CONINCO’s steady development throughout its nearly half-century journey since its establishment. He noted that Vietnam is one of the Group’s key strategic markets. Partnering with a local firm that possesses strong professional capacity and shares a vision for quality and sustainable development like CONINCO is a top priority for OC Global.

During the meeting, leaders from both sides discussed their professional capabilities and strategic directions. While OC Global maintains a strong international presence in infrastructure planning and design, CONINCO has established itself as one of Vietnam’s leading consultants in project management and construction supervision. This is reflected in CONINCO’s involvement in nearly all major international airport projects nationwide. The synergy between CONINCO’s local market insight and OC Global’s advanced management technology creates strong potential for delivering comprehensive solutions for future projects.

Human Resource Development and International Cooperation

A key focus of the discussion was human resource development. The President of OC Global praised CONINCO’s proactivity and committed to providing intensive training programs on railway systems, taught directly by leading Japanese experts. Beyond online training, OC Global is ready to facilitate opportunities for CONINCO’s key engineers to participate in site visits, technical exchanges, or project assignments at the Group’s ongoing international projects (such as in the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, etc.).

In addition to the Vietnamese market, CONINCO’s Chairman shared the company's strengths and network in the Lao market, where it has operated for over 15 years. With existing laboratory infrastructure and permanent local staff, CONINCO is ready to be an effective partner supporting OC Global in survey and consultancy activities in Laos, opening up unlimited cooperation space in the region.

Showcasing Capability and Corporate Culture

Following the working session, the OC Global leadership toured CONINCO Tower—a building designed by CONINCO's own architects that has won national architectural awards.

A highlight of the tour was the 11th floor, where the delegation visited the Grand Hall and the gallery showcasing national-scale key projects implemented by CONINCO. The exhibition highlighted CONINCO’s project delivery capability, extensive portfolio, and established reputation in the industry.

The delegation also visited the Rooftop café/canteen and the Creative Design Studio. The open, modern, and professional workspace left a deep impression on the partners, reflecting an open corporate culture and CONINCO’s people-centered management philosophy: focusing on creating a "Civilized – Professional – Happy" environment as a foundation, fostering a united, dedicated, and high-performing workforce.
