WATG and UAC Representatives Visit CONINCO to Explore Cooperation Opportunities in Urban Planning

On 27 June 2026, at CONINCO Headquarters, CONSULTANT AND INSPECTION JOINT STOCK COMPANY OF CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT welcomed representatives from international and domestic partners for a working session to discuss strategic cooperation opportunities in architectural design and urban planning. The meeting marked another important milestone in CONINCO's strategy to expand its global partnership network and deliver internationally recognized planning and architectural solutions for major developments in Vietnam.
Representing CONINCO, the meeting was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, General Director, with the participation of Ms. Pham Thuy Linh, Manager of the Business Management Department; Mr. Pham Tien Thang, Director of Consultancy Division No. 3; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of Center T.A1; and Dr. Arch. Hoang Huu Phe, Chairman of R&D Consultants (Research & Development Consultants for Construction Investment and New Technology Application JSC).
The delegation also warmly welcomed Mr. Marcel Padmos, Director of Urban Design at WATG (Wimberly, Allison, Tong & Goo), Singapore; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thanh, Director of Urban Architecture Consultants JSC (UAC); and Senior Architect Nguyen Van Quang.

The meeting commenced with both parties introducing their respective organizations and sharing their development journeys and key achievements. On behalf of WATG, Mr. Marcel Padmos presented an overview of the firm's capabilities. As one of the world's leading architecture and design firms headquartered in the United States, WATG has more than 75 years of experience delivering distinctive design services in urban planning, architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture. Guided by a design philosophy that embraces local context and cultural identity, WATG has created numerous iconic destinations worldwide, including the Sentosa resort developments in Singapore, alongside prestigious projects across more than 170 countries and territories on six continents.
In response, Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang, General Director of CONINCO, reaffirmed the company's strong position in Vietnam's construction consulting industry. With a workforce of approximately 1,600 professionals, CONINCO is currently providing consultancy and design services for numerous national key projects and large-scale developments. These include internationally branded hotels under the Marriott and Hilton portfolios, major urban developments, and the ongoing Vietcombank Headquarters project, among many others. A thorough understanding of the domestic market, combined with strong project execution capabilities, has enabled CONINCO to successfully undertake highly complex projects across Vietnam.
During the discussion, both parties agreed that Vietnam's real estate and infrastructure sectors are expected to enter a period of significant growth over the coming decade. Dr. Arch. Hoang Huu Phe also introduced several large-scale developments currently under study and implementation by his team. These projects present promising opportunities for collaboration, particularly in high-end resort developments and environmentally sustainable urban planning—areas that closely align with WATG's design philosophy and international expertise.


The meeting concluded in an atmosphere of openness, mutual trust, and shared ambition. Both parties expressed a common vision of creating high-quality, sustainable, and iconic developments. By combining WATG's internationally recognized design excellence and strategic planning expertise with CONINCO's extensive pool of specialists and proven local project management capabilities, the partnership is expected to create meaningful opportunities for future collaboration. Going forward, the parties will continue to exchange information and strengthen their professional networks to jointly pursue major development projects, contributing to the advancement of Vietnam's urban landscape and tourism infrastructure.
