From July 11 to 13, 2024, the leadership team of Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of construction technology and equipment (CONINCO., JSC) undertook a business trip together with National Assembly's Inspection Commission to the Atad, BMB and Dai Dung steel fabrication plants in the An Ha, Binh Duong and Long Thanh areas. The purpose of the trip was to inspect and evaluate the quality of the implementation work at these factories, to ensure that the raw materials are produced to the correct standards and on schedule for installation in August for the Long Thanh Airport passenger terminal project.
The CONINCO delegation included Mr. Phan Ngoc Cuong - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director as head of the delegation; Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan - Member of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Luong Binh - Deputy General Director, Head of Technical Management Department; Mr. Nguyen Huu Truong - Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Huy Anh - Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Minh Quan - Deputy General Director, Director of CONINCO Ho Chi Minh City branch.
At the steel fabrication factories, the delegation inspected the production processes for the steel components. The CONINCO engineers worked directly with the factory personnel to ensure that all processes were executed in accordance with the required quality and safety standards. At the same time, the CONINCO engineers collaborated closely with the production teams at the factories to provide recommendations for improvements to ensure the steel structures were manufactured to meet the technical specifications. The delegation also discussed the production progress and delivery commitments of the factories to ensure timely installation for the Long Thanh Airport terminal project.
Mr. Phan Ngoc Cuong, Member of the Board of Directors and General Director, shared: "This business trip plays a crucial role for the CONINCO supervision team to grasp the production situation at the factories, inspect the quality and progress of the products, provide detailed assessments, and propose necessary measures to ensure that production is carried out according to the correct procedures and standards, achieving quality and timely delivery, so that the construction of the Long Thanh Airport terminal steel roof structure can be implemented as planned.
During the business trip, the CONINCO leadership delegation also inspected the project construction site. Although the overall progress of the Long Thanh Airport project is ahead of schedule, as this is a major project on a large scale, there are still some difficulties and challenges from materials, weather conditions, etc. that could disrupt construction. Therefore, the CONINCO leadership encouraged the CONINCO supervision team and the construction contractors to make even greater efforts, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions to accelerate the construction work. At the same time, the contractors were advised to seek additional alternative materials in a timely manner to meet the committed schedule, as well as to order and stockpile construction materials in advance.
Currently, the Long Thanh Airport project has generally met the set schedule. At the construction site, there are nearly 6,000 domestic and international engineers and workers, thousands of construction machinery, equipment, and facilities have been assembled, installed, and operated to implement the main construction packages. The construction fronts are also being deployed to the maximum, working continuously day and night with the highest goal of accelerating the progress. The passenger terminal construction is ahead of schedule, and in the coming time, contractors will continue to accelerate the construction of the remaining structures. It is expected that by the end of July, 100% of the 3rd floor slab beams will be completed, and the steel roof structure of the terminal will be constructed in August.
