2 . The Executive Board the Greater Mekong Subregion Corridor Urban Development Project phase 4 visited worked at CONINCO

On the afternoon of August 12, 2022, the delegation of the Executive Board of the Urban Development Corridor Project of the Mekong Subregion Phase 4 (GMS4) visited and worked at Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO.,JSC). The GMS4 project, invested by the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs under the Lao Ministry of Transport and Public Works, and funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), is a key project that will support the Lao PDR government to improve urban environmental services and enhanced regional economic connectivity in the towns of Paksan and Thakhek, two towns along the North-South Economic Corridor in the Greater Mekong Subregion. The AMDI-CONINCO-BMEC consortium provides consulting services for this project as an international expert.

Attending the meeting, from the GMS4 Project Management Board, there were Ms. Malychanh Sananikhom - Director, Mr. Virachith Douangchanh - Deputy Director, Mr. Phoungeun Phommaha - Deputy Director and members.

On the side of CONINCO, there were Mr. Le Thanh Minh – Deputy General Director, Chief of Office of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Dac Phuong - Deputy General Director, Ms. Pham Thuy Linh - Head of Sales Department.

At the meeting, Deputy General Director Le Thanh Minh introduced the achievements as well as the projects CONINCO has carried out in Vietnam and Laos through documentary footage of the construction and development process of CONINCO. Deputy General Director Le Thanh Minh, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Company, thanked the Investor for trusting, appreciating the capacity, choosing CONINCO to perform international consulting services for the GMS4 project and thanking the Board of Management. The project always gives enthusiastic support to CONINCO experts to perform well their tasks at the project.

Talking about the implementation of the GMS4 project, Malychanh Sananikhom said: Although the COVID-19 pandemic has been extremely complicated for nearly 4 years, with the efforts of the participating units, the project also achieved encouraging results. Specifically, in the past 4 years, there have been 3 sub-projects including:

Responding to the wishes of the delegation of the GMS4 Project Management Board, Deputy General Director Nguyen Dac Phuong committed to complete CONINCO's tasks in the project with the best quality according to the schedule required by the Investor. At the same time, Deputy General Director Nguyen Dac Phuong shared about CONINCO's market development orientation in Laos in the near future with the hope that leaders of ministries, departments and branches of Laos will create conditions for CONINCO to have a sub-project to build a processing zone. Urban solid waste management in Paksan, the sub-project to build Thakhek urban solid waste treatment area and the sub-project to build Paksan rainwater drainage system has been awarded the contract and is under construction. 04 other sub-projects include: Sub-project to build Thakhek rainwater drainage system, Sub-project to build embankment along San river in Paksan, Sub-project to build DEWATS wastewater treatment system in Paksan and Thakhek which is in progress. tender process and tender evaluation. It is expected that these four sub-projects will be awarded a contract and will be constructed in the third and fourth quarters of 2022. The sub-project of embankment construction along the Mekong River in Thakhek and the project of restoring and renovating Thakhek's old quarters are in progress. in the preliminary design and detailed design stages; It is expected that these two sub-projects will be auctioned in the fourth quarter of 2022.
