On the afternoon of September 18, 2025, at CONINCO TOWER Headquarters, Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO., JSC) welcomed and held a working session with WPD Group from Germany. The meeting opened up potential cooperation opportunities between the two parties in construction consultancy, particularly in wind power projects in Vietnam.

Attending the meeting, on behalf of WPD, there were Mr. Manuel Hanenberg – Business Development Director Asia, Mr. Tran Quan – Project Development & Construction Manager, and Mr. Do Thanh Vinh – Project Development Manager of WPD Vietnam.
Representing CONINCO were Mr. Nguyen Dac Phuong – Deputy General Director, Director of the Center of Project Engineering (T.KC); Mr. Nguyen Ba Hai – Director of the Construction Inspection Center (T.KD); Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Chau – Deputy Manager of the Business Management Department; and Mr. Dinh Xuan Son – Deputy Director of T.KC.

At the beginning of the session, in an open and friendly atmosphere, Deputy General Director Nguyen Dac Phuong warmly welcomed the WPD delegation to CONINCO. He presented an overview of CONINCO’s capabilities and experience through a short video, highlighting the company’s development history, diverse fields of operation, and notable projects, including those in the renewable energy sector such as wind and solar power that CONINCO has been undertaking.

Overview of the working session

In response, Mr. Manuel Hanenberg expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and was deeply impressed by CONINCO’s scale and capacity. He provided detailed information about WPD, a leading German energy group established in 1996, now operating in 31 countries worldwide. Entering the Vietnam’s market in 2020 with offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Kon Tum, WPD brings extensive global experience in implementing large-scale wind power projects. He expressed a strong desire to seek cooperation with a reputable and leading company like CONINCO to expand project development in Vietnam.

Further sharing WPD’s cooperation orientation, the representative emphasized their aim to expand in the Vietnam’s market, particularly in the southern region. However, they are currently facing challenges due to the lack of local partners with in-depth understanding of Vietnam’s legal regulations, and thus have high expectations for cooperation with CONINCO.

On CONINCO’s side, Deputy General Director Nguyen Dac Phuong reaffirmed that, with our extensive experience and status as one of Vietnam’s leading construction consultancy firms, CONINCO always seeks to collaborate with prestigious international partners for mutual development. Understanding the partner’s needs, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions about potential cooperation in wind power projects currently in the investment preparation stage in Vietnam. CONINCO affirmed its capability to provide comprehensive and specialized consultancy services such as verification, supervision, project management, and technical management support for WPD’s future projects.
