CONINCO - NIPPON KOEI: Strengthening Cooperation, Expanding Market Presence

On the morning of November 5, 2024, Nippon Koei Vietnam International, a member of Japan's Nippon Koei Group, met with Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO., JSC) at CONINCO Tower to discuss potential cooperation in expanding Vietnam's railway market.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Toshiyuki Fukuda - General Director and Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Bang - Head of Business Development Department from Nippon Koei's side.

CONINCO was represented by Mr. Phan Ngoc Cuong - General Director; Mr. Le Thanh Minh - Deputy General Director, Chief of Board of Directors Office; Ms. Pham Thuy Linh - Head of Business Department; and Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Deputy Head of Business Department.
During the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities and challenges in the railway sector, particularly considering Vietnam's strategic investment in transport infrastructure to drive economic growth. General Director Phan Ngoc Cuong emphasized that Vietnamese consulting firms must access and understand international railway technologies to build personnel capacity for upcoming domestic high-speed railway projects.

As part of CONINCO's market development strategy, General Director Phan Ngoc Cuong proposed visiting Nippon Koei's headquarters in Japan and touring the country's advanced railway system to gain firsthand experience and insights into railway project implementation.

With Vietnam undergoing significant transformation in transport infrastructure, General Director Phan Ngoc Cuong affirmed that partnering with experienced international collaborators would enable CONINCO to access modern technologies and valuable expertise for developing safe and efficient railway systems. This collaboration is crucial for forming a strong Joint Venture capable of executing large-scale, complex high-speed railway projects.

Appreciating these insights, Mr. Toshiyuki Fukuda expressed his admiration for CONINCO's achievements over its 45-year history and welcomed the upcoming visit to their Japanese headquarters. He noted that Nippon Koei has contributed to over 6,200km of railway projects worldwide, providing project management consulting, design consulting, and supervision consulting services. Given CONINCO's track record, highly qualified personnel, and strategic development approach, combined with Nippon Koei's railway expertise and advanced technology, he expressed optimism about successful cooperation in this promising market.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties anticipating long-term cooperation and specific project opportunities in the near future. This milestone meeting strengthens the partnership between CONINCO and Nippon Koei, creating significant opportunities for both companies to contribute to Vietnam's modern transport infrastructure development, particularly in the railway sector.
