CONINCO and OC Global (Japan): Strengthening Cooperation in Specialized Railway Engineering Training

Recently, at CONINCO's headquarters, Dr. Ha Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, together with the Company's leadership, held a meeting with representatives of Oriental Consultants Global (OC Global – Japan) to finalize the implementation plan for a specialized railway engineering training programme. The event marks a concrete step in implementing the cooperation strategies agreed upon during the visit of OC Global's Chairman to CONINCO in early May 2026, reaffirming the two parties' commitment to a long-term and sustainable partnership.

Attending the meeting from CONINCO were Dr. Ha Minh – Chairman of the Board of Directors; Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Bich – Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Luong Binh – Deputy General Director and Head of the Technical Management Department; Mr. Le Nguyen Giap – Deputy General Director; Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Chau – Deputy Chief of the Board of Directors Secretariat; and Dr. Nguyen Cong Giang – Deputy Director of the Scientific Research and Training Center.
Representing the partner OC Global were Mr. Kazuto Honda – Senior Consultant of the Railway Planning Department, and Dr. Phan Le Binh – Chief Representative of the OCG Hanoi Office.

Mr. Kazuto Honda – Senior Consultant of OCG presents the details of the railway technology and engineering training program for CONINCO engineers.

During the session, Mr. Kazuto Honda detailed the railway engineering and technology training program. Founded in 1957, OC Global is an internationally recognised engineering consultancy group with approximately 1,600 employees and experience delivering projects in more than 150 countries. The company has particular expertise in major metro and railway infrastructure projects across Asia.

The training course is tailored specifically for CONINCO, featuring core topics that comprehensively cover: an overview of urban and high-speed railways, tunneling engineering, signaling and telecommunications systems, station design, and construction contract management. The central goal of the program is to combine CONINCO's experience in civil engineering design and construction with OCG's extensive expertise in railway systems. Through this program, both parties aim to develop a highly qualified pool of technical specialists and project managers who will be well prepared to contribute to Vietnam's upcoming strategic infrastructure projects, including urban metro systems and the North–South High-Speed Railway.

To optimize practical effectiveness, both sides engaged in straightforward discussions and reached consensus on the basic principles for organizing the course. The program will be implemented flexibly to provide foundational railway engineering knowledge to CONINCO's broader engineering workforce while offering specialized training for a selected group of core engineers. This approach aims to develop a strong team of railway infrastructure experts capable of meeting future industry demands.
In addition, matters regarding strict compliance with intellectual property regulations and the confidentiality of internal training materials and confidential documents were mutually committed to. Both parties also committed to strictly complying with intellectual property regulations and ensuring that all training materials are used solely for educational and capacity-building purposes.

The working session concluded effectively, marking an important step forward in concretizing the cooperation direction and affirming the long-term commitment between CONINCO and OCG toward the goal of creating modern transport infrastructure projects in Vietnam.
