CONINCO welcomed the Austrian Commercial Counselor in Vietnam, the Austrian Trade Office representative in Hanoi, and a delegation of Austrian businesses for a visit and working session at CONINCO

Austria was one of the first Western European countries to recognize and establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam in December 1972. Since then, the two countries have maintained a good traditional friendship and cooperation in many diverse fields. To strengthen the connection between Austrian and Vietnamese businesses in the fields of construction, trade, etc., in the afternoon of May 23rd, 2024, the Austrian Commercial Counselor in Vietnam and the representative of the Austrian Trade Office in Hanoi, along with a delegation of Austrian businesses including Frequentis AG and M.A.G.N.U.M Aviation GmbH, visited and had a working session with the leadership of the Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of construction technology and equipment - CONINCO at the CONINCO Tower.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Dietmar Schwank - Austrian Commercial Counselor in Vietnam; Ms. Le Thi Thanh Van - Head of the Austrian Trade Office in Hanoi; Mr. Vu Anh Duc - Representative of the Austrian Trade Office in Hanoi; Mr. Martin Chaloupek - Managing Director of Frequentis Singapore, Frequentis AG; and Mr. Florian Samsinger - Managing Director of M.A.G.N.U.M Aviation GmbH.On behalf of CONINCO, the welcoming delegation included Mr. Phan Ngoc Cuong - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director; Mr. Nguyen Luong Binh - Deputy General Director, Manager of Technical Management Department; Mr. Le Thanh Minh - Deputy General Director, Chief of the Board of Directors' Office; Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - Deputy General Director; Mr. Nguyen Dac Phuong - Deputy General Director, and leaders of management departments and units.

In delivering his speech at the meeting, General Director Phan Ngoc Cuong expressed his delight in welcoming the Austrian Commercial Counselor, representatives of the Austrian Trade Office, and the Austrian business delegation to CONINCO. The General Director hoped that this visit and working session will be an opportunity for CONINCO and Austrian businesses to exchange specific professional expertise, seeking opportunities for cooperation in the future, contributing to promoting trade relations between Vietnam and Austria in general and between CONINCO and Austrian businesses in particular.

After watching the promotional videos showcasing CONINCO's 45-year journey of development, the Commercial Counselor congratulated CONINCO on its achievements and shared insights on the relationship between Austria and Vietnam over the years, particularly in trade. Austria consistently ranks among the top 10 trading partners of Vietnam within the European Union (EU). Therefore, the Commercial Counselor expressed hope that this meeting between representatives of the Austrian Trade Office, Austrian businesses, and CONINCO will open up numerous opportunities for cooperation, leveraging each other's strengths and capabilities to enhance their positions, competitiveness in the market, and economic development for both countries. The Commercial Counselor emphasized that during the working session with the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport, it was learned that the Vietnamese government is currently prioritizing investment in infrastructure development, including a strong focus on air transport. Conversely, Austrian businesses possess expertise in consulting, design, technical solutions, safety and security, fire prevention, and airport commercial services. They can collaborate with Vietnamese businesses in general and CONINCO in particular. Moreover, CONINCO, a leading construction consulting company in Vietnam, has successfully participated in numerous large airport projects and is currently providing consulting, inspection, and supervision services for critical components of the Long Thanh International Airport project. The Commercial Counselor hoped that CONINCO can collaborate with Austrian businesses to introduce advanced technical and technological solutions to airport projects, further driving the development of Vietnam's aviation industry.

Responding to the Commercial Counselor's aspirations, General Director Phan Ngoc Cuong stated that CONINCO has collaborated with numerous major international partners to execute key projects in Vietnam. CONINCO's development strategy consistently embraces collaboration with foreign partners to acquire expertise and technological advancements from around the globe, aiming to enhance professional capabilities and bolster competitiveness in the market. General Director Phan Ngoc Cuong also expressed his sincere hope for future collaboration between CONINCO and Austrian businesses on suitable projects.

During the meeting, representatives from CONINCO and Austrian businesses presented brief overviews of their respective capabilities. They engaged in detailed discussions about ongoing projects and past endeavors, aiming to achieve common goals. With a shared hope for continued direct interactions and information exchange, both sides seek to explore opportunities for collaboration.

Austrian Commercial Counselor Dietmar Schwank expressed his gratitude to General Director Phan Ngoc Cuong and the CONINCO leadership for their time and hospitality. He also shared that the Austrian Trade Office in Vietnam will always provide support and facilitate a smooth process for Austrian businesses and CONINCO to exchange information. This aims to leverage the strengths and capabilities of businesses from both countries, fostering robust comprehensive trade cooperation between Austrian and Vietnamese businesses. This serves as a bridge for mutual growth and development between the two nations.

Concluding the meeting, on behalf of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board, and all CONINCO staff, General Director Phan Ngoc Cuong expressed gratitude for the visit and working session of the Austrian Commercial Counselor, representatives of the Austrian Trade Office, and the Austrian business delegation at CONINCO. This marked a significant milestone in deepening and strengthening the relationship between CONINCO and Austrian businesses. It is hoped that following this meeting, both sides will engage in regular information exchange, share experiences, and collaborate to create opportunities for cooperation in new projects, particularly in the field of air transport. We wish the Austrian Commercial Counselor, representatives of the Austrian Trade Office, and the Austrian business delegation good health and continued success in their commercial endeavors in Vietnam, Austria, and other regional countries.
