CONINCO and Nippon Koei (Japan) Sign Memorandum of Understanding, Opening a New Chapter in Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

On 2025-08-21, at CONINCO’s headquarters, a signing ceremony was held for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on strategic partnership between Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO., Jsc) and Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. (Japan). The event marked a significant milestone, reaffirming their close collaboration and opening a new chapter for joint development in projects in Vietnam and international markets.

Representing Nippon Koei (NKG) were Mr. Daiki Abe – Chief Representative of Nippon Koei Business Partners in Vietnam; Mr. Toshiyuki Fukuda – General Director of Nippon Koei Vietnam; along with senior managers.
Representing CONINCO were Mr. Phan Ngọc Cương – Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyễn Mạnh Tuấn – Member of the Board of Directors, General Director; Mr. Nguyễn Lương Bình – Deputy General Director, Head of Technical Management Department; Mr. Nguyễn Đăng Quang – Deputy General Director; Mr. Lê Thanh Minh – Deputy General Director, Chief of the Office of the Board of Directors; Mr. Trần Thanh Hải – Deputy General Director; together with leaders of the Business Department and Technical Management Department.

A Partnership Built on Synergy

The signing was the result of a process of exploration grounded in trust and mutual respect. Nippon Koei is Japan’s leading international engineering consultancy, with nearly 80 years of experience and over 5,000 projects in 160 countries worldwide. Meanwhile, CONINCO is a leading construction consultancy in Vietnam, responsible for thousands of national key projects and major assignments from leading domestic and regional corporations; it has extensive technical expertise and a broad nationwide client network.
This MOU is expected to generate synergy by combining Nippon Koei’s international experience and advanced technology with CONINCO’s market knowledge, implementation capacity, and strong networks in Vietnam.

In his opening remarks, Chairman Phan Ngọc Cương warmly welcomed the Nippon Koei delegation to CONINCO, noting that the timing of the ceremony, as Vietnam witnesses important national milestones, adds special significance. He expressed his hope that this event would mark an auspicious and successful beginning for cooperation between the two companies.

Responding, Mr. Daiki Abe – Chief Representative of Nippon Koei Business Partners in Vietnam – expressed his delight and appreciation. He noted that this year also marks Nippon Koei’s 70th anniversary of operations in Vietnam. After over a year of working directly with CONINCO, he observed strong alignment between the two companies’ corporate cultures, particularly their shared focus on advancing science and technology, as well as developing high-quality human resources. He emphasized that these common values provide a solid foundation for collaboration in strategic areas during the new era of Vietnam’s ascent.

General Director Nguyễn Mạnh Tuấn shared his hopes: “I look forward to both parties soon proceeding to official contracts that bring the agreement’s commitments into reality, creating lasting and practical benefits.”

Mr. Toshiyuki Fukuda – General Director of Nippon Koei Vietnam – fully agreed, stressing the importance of quickly translating the agreement into concrete contracts and projects that would leave a clear mark for both brands.

In a solemn yet open atmosphere, three representatives – Mr. Nguyễn Mạnh Tuấn, General Director of CONINCO; Mr. Daiki Abe, Authorized Representative of NKBP; and Mr. Toshiyuki Fukuda, General Director of NKV – signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Comprehensive Cooperation in Key Areas

Under the agreement, CONINCO and NKG will collaborate across multiple sectors, leveraging each other’s strengths to pursue future projects. Key areas of cooperation include: jointly exploring new projects, especially in urban infrastructure, civil construction, and transportation; and strengthening competitiveness in the railway sector, with a focus on urban railway projects, transit-oriented development (TOD), and national strategic initiatives such as the North–South High-Speed Railway.

Immediately after the ceremony, Chairman Phan Ngọc Cương presented flowers, and leaders of both companies exchanged commemorative gifts, underscoring their respect and commitment to a long-term partnership.
