CONINCO – ASTEM (Japan): Discussing solutions to enhance fire safety standards and M&E systems for key projects

On the afternoon of May 13, 2026, at its headquarters, CONINCO held an intensive technical exchange and working session with partners ASTEM (Japan), Niinuma Vietnam, and VINCONS. The meeting focused on introducing advanced fire safety technologies (FS systems) technologies and the orientation for integrating high-level safety standards into key projects in Vietnam.

Attending the meeting, on behalf of ASTEM were Mr. Nishiyama Motohiro - Director; Mr. Okada Yuichiro - Overseas Manager.
On behalf of Niinuma Vietnam were Mr. Minowa Yuya - General Director and associates.
On behalf of VINCONS were Mr. Le Thanh Ha - General Director and associates.
On behalf of CONINCO, the working session was chaired by General Director Nguyen Dang Quang, along with the participation of Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Director of Architecture Center 1; Mr. Trinh Hong Khanh - Director of the Design Management Center, Ms. Do Thi Khanh Linh - Deputy Director of Architecture Center 2, and technical specialists.

At the meeting, representatives of ASTEM - a Japanese company with more than 60 years of experience - introduces an overview of the firm's advanced heat-resistant and explosion-proof equipment solutions. Notably, the products offer fire resistance of up to three hours (180 minutes), meeting strict international standards such as UL and NFPA. This solution is designed to ensure maximum safety for high-density buildings or high-risk environments such as hotels, entertainment complexes, or industrial facilities.

As a leading engineering consultancy with nearly 50 years of experience in national key projects and large-scale developments, as well as large-scale projects of domestic and foreign corporations, CONINCO is always a pioneer in updating and applying the most advanced technological solutions. At the working session, General Director Nguyen Dang Quang emphasized that the material and technology selection process at CONINCO always strictly complies with the TCVN system, while flexibly applying international standards such as NFPA, British, American, and Japanese standards... for projects with specific technical requirements. On the basis of professional exchange, the two sides analyzed the feasibility and the process of integrating Japanese-standard M&E and fire safety equipment into projects where CONINCO provides design consultancy and management. To realize cooperation opportunities, CONINCO leadership proposed coordinating the organization of specialized technical seminars for the company’s staff and engineers to equip them with in-depth knowledge, laying the foundation for CONINCO to provide the safest and most effective consultancy solutions for customers in the future.
