CONINCO – PADECO (Japan): Exploring New Opportunities for Collaboration on Major Transport Infrastructure Projects

On the afternoon of July 15, 2026, CONINCO welcomed a high-level delegation from PADECO Co., Ltd. (Japan) at its headquarters. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ha Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CONINCO, with the primary objective of exchanging expertise and exploring potential collaboration opportunities in large-scale transport infrastructure projects in Vietnam.
Representing CONINCO were Dr. Ha Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Le Nguyen Giap, Deputy General Director; Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Chau, Deputy Chief of the BoD Assistance Office; and Ms. Do Nhu Duc, Director of the International Cooperation and Consultancy Center (T.3C).
Representing PADECO were Mr. Yohei Soma, Member of the Board of Directors and Senior Executive Director.
Anticipating the Next Wave of Strategic Transport Infrastructure Development
During the meeting, both parties reflected on their successful partnership, which has continued since 2017. Building on this strong foundation of mutual trust, Dr. Ha Minh and Mr. Yohei Soma held in-depth discussions on emerging trends in the engineering consultancy sector.
Particular attention was given to Vietnam's strategic transport infrastructure initiatives, including the development of urban railway networks in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as the North–South High-Speed Railway Project. Both sides recognized these landmark projects as promising areas for future cooperation.
Sharing PADECO's perspective, Mr. Yohei Soma highlighted the company's extensive experience in delivering complex international infrastructure projects. He emphasized that, in the Vietnamese market, partnering with a reputable and experienced local consultant is essential for overcoming project challenges, ensuring effective coordination, and achieving successful project implementation.

PADECO highly appreciated CONINCO's extensive practical experience, in-depth understanding of Vietnam's investment and regulatory environment, and comprehensive project consultancy and coordination capabilities. The combination of Japanese engineering expertise, advanced technologies, and internationally recognized technical standards with CONINCO's strong local knowledge and practical project experience will create a comprehensive consultancy solution. This synergy will help optimize project preparation, facilitate efficient implementation, maintain project schedules, and ensure the highest standards of quality.
Beyond the Vietnamese market, both parties also explored opportunities to collaborate on international consultancy projects, aiming to diversify their business portfolio and expand into new markets.
Closing the meeting, Dr. Ha Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CONINCO, reaffirmed the company's strong commitment to its partnership with PADECO. The meeting further strengthened mutual trust and established a solid foundation for both organizations to combine their strengths and resources in pursuing future large-scale transport infrastructure projects, contributing to the continued modernization of Vietnam's infrastructure.
