Institute for Urban Planning and Development of Paris Ile-de-France Region (IAU-IdF) visited and worked in CONINCO

According to CONINCO’s invitation, on December 9th, 2014, Institute for Urban Planning and Development of Paris Ile-de-France Region (IAU-IdF) visited and worked in CONINCO.

Attending the meeting, regarding Institute for Urban Planning and Development of Paris Ile-de-France Region (IAU-IdF), there was Mr. Tristan Laurent Morel – French planner and representative of Institute for Urban Planning and Development of Paris Ile-de-France Region (IAU-IdF). Regarding CONINCO, there were Dr. Ha Minh - Deputy General Director, Ms. Luong Thi Ngoc Huyen - Director of Research Center of Science, Technology and Training – CONINCO, Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Chau - Deputy Director of Center of International Cooperation and Consultancy.  

Over the past years, Vietnam has continuously invested in planning projects for comprehensive development in compliance with socio-economic development conditions of Vietnam and development trend of the world. 

The French Republic is the biggest country of Western Europe, the 3rd biggest country of Europe and it is a country of great economic, planning development.  

Recognizing the necessity of planning work, CONINCO accessed and invited Institute for Urban Planning and Development of Paris Ile-de-France Region (IAU-IdF) to work in Company.   

At the meeting, two parties introduced their functions, duties and discuss cooperation opportunities. 

Dr. Ha Minh – Deputy General Director of CONINCO introduced business activities of CONINCO as well as design projects which CONINCO have been carrying out.

Mr. Tristan Laurent Morel was impressed with achievements of CONINCO and gave thanks to CONINCO’s Managers for the meeting. He shared valuable experience on urban planning and design of the Institute.

The meeting was successful. The two parties expressed the desire to cooperate in the next projects. The Institute expressed its intention to train CONINCO staff on urban planning.

VIle-de France area is an area of France including 8 provinces (including Paris) with area of 12.072 km2. It is the 1st economic area of France, account for over 1/4 GDP of France.
Institute for Urban Planning and Development of Paris Ile-de-France Region (IAU-IdF) which was established in 1960, operates in many fields of territory planning, zone planning, rural urban planning, stable development, environmental policy, inheritance, landscape, education, training, etc. 

From the end of 2004, experienced experts of IdF area came to work in Vietnam, supported subject “Hanoi capital planning”, they contributed many useful ideas, supported technique on urban planning, urban management development, and other relevant fields.  Ile-de France area which representative is IMV is independent consultant of the subject, its task is opponency, quality evaluation for Hanoi QHC subject which was approved in July, 2011 by Government).
