Nihon Sekkei - CONINCO Association won the first award of architectural planning design competition for project: Central administrative area of Ninh Thuan province

On April 25th, 2014, Ninh Thuan People’s Committee organized Ceremony of promulgating result and granting award for architectural planning design competition for project: Central administrative area of Ninh Thuan province.

Attending the ceremony, there were Mr. Do Huu Nghi – Deputy President of Ninh Thuan People’s Committee; Dr. Arch. Ngo Doan Duc – Deputy Chairman of Vietnam Association of Architects; Representatives of leader of several departments, branches of province, domestic and foreign corporations, and consultant companies.

With convenient geographical location and many natural landscapes, Ninh Thuan is developing to become one of the regions which leads international economic integration and becomes an economic hub of Southern Central Coast and Central Highlands.  

Acknowledge the development trend of province, especially modernization and international integration trend, Ninh Thuan People’s Committee decided to invest building Central administrative area of Ninh Thuan province and cooperated with Vietnam Association of Architects to organize architectural planning design competition for Central administrative area of Ninh Thuan province with scale of 12ha.  

The 1st architectural planning design competition for Central administrative area of Ninh Thuan province was organized on October 2nd, 2012 and received 06 plans. However, no plan was chosen to be awarded. 

With determination of the People’s Committee and Organizing Committee, on September 13th, 2013, the 2nd competition was organized. Through 2 competitions in 2012 and 2013, 28 turns of domestic and foreign consultant companies participated in. Selection board chose 8 plans held an exhibition in provincial museum to get ideas from people, departments, branches, organizations and experts in the field of architecture – planning and construction.   
Thereby, Organizing Committee received 103 comments, in which the 2nd plan on architectural planning design for Central administrative area of Ninh Thuan province of Nihon Sekkei – CONINCO Association was considered good, modern, aesthetic with harmonious architectural arrangement and private characters of Ninh Thuan province, The plan can divide investment terms, develop each phase and has high feasibility. 

After analyzing and evaluating, Selection Board decided to reward the first prize to Nihon Sekkei  – CONINCO Association. There was not 2nd award in this competition, two 3rd awards belonged to Phu My Architecture Company Limited and Architect Ho Thieu Tri & Partners Company Limited.

Central administrative area of Ninh Thuan province is considered an important project of province to create modern infrastructure, contribute to highten life quality of people and stable development of region.

With this award, new strength of CONINCO has been determined in international cooperation of design consultancy, development and integration into domestic consultancy market under integration itinerary with area and world.
