8 th National Congress for the term 2020 - 0425 the 32 nd National Workshop the Vietnam Association Structure Construction Technology were successfully held at CONINCO TOWER

On December 18, 2020, at CONINCO TOWER - Head office of Consultant and Inspection Joint Stock Company of Construction Technology and Equipment (CONINCO., JSC), Vietnam Association of Structure and Construction Technology (VASECT) organized Organization of the 8th National Congress (term 2020 - 2025) and the 32nd National Workshop "Maintenance of construction works". CONINCO participated in the organization and was the main sponsor for this meeting.

On the side of Association of Construction and Construction Technology, there was Professor. Before the meeting, all delegates heard representatives of the sectors present 03 scientific reports with the theme "Construction maintenance", three reports showing the nature of maintenance: from recognizing the current situation to evaluating science and finding directions, solutions, and repairing methods to ensure the work is sustainable over time. This is a regular activity before each Congress, is an opportunity for delegates to gain more information about the current state of structure and technology at home and abroad. Hopefully, the researches of the authors will contribute positively to state management agencies in making standards and standards to improve the longevity of works, contributing to the sustainable development strategy of country.

As one of the oldest professional associations in the construction industry (established in May 1984), up to now, VASECT has become a multidisciplinary technical association with more than 84 collective members, associations and thousands of members. individuals on a nationwide scale. The Association has organized a lot of national and international seminars as well as proposed structural solutions, construction technology, infrastructure, construction breakdown, professional training courses. for industry members and technicians. The association regularly participates in contributing ideas to draft important documents of the construction industry. The Association presides over compiling technical regulations, national standards, technical instruction documents on design, construction, construction...The Association is the place where state regulatory agencies make timely adjustments. legal documents, management mechanisms, and a place to help technical staff share information, exchange techniques, share experiences and learn to apply new models and solutions in construction, especially in particular projects.

On behalf of the Executive Board of VASECT, reporting on the performance of the 2015-2020 term and the direction for the 2020-2025 term, Mr. Nguyen Van Cong - Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Association, said in Over the past years, with the goal of constantly developing and improving the scientific and technical level in the field of structure and construction technology to keep pace with the development in the field of structure and construction technology in the country as well as Internationally, the Association continues to innovate in its organizational model and operation modes; as a bridge between the collective members and relevant agencies to promptly reflect reasonable recommendations to the authorities, protect the legitimate rights of members and structural workers and building technology. Strengthen domestic and foreign cooperation, promote training, improve professional ethics, ensure quality in the field of construction and construction technology, contribute to the development of Construction, Transport, Irrigation.

Addressing at the Congress, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung highly appreciated the activities of the Association and recognized VASECT as an important professional association, having a key significance for the construction industry. Gathering many scientists, experts with experience as well as long-term activities in the profession, at the same time creating a good working environment. Over the past years, the Association has also operated effectively, policy orientation, especially the development orientation of the regulation system, directly participating in the compilation of the normative system in the fields of structure and construction. Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung suggested, in the next term, the Association will continue to promote and contribute to the development of the construction industry, continue to orient, amend and supplement specialized structural standards.

At the congress, Mr. Pham The Minh - Vice Chairman cum General Secretary of Vietnam Construction Association also presented a congratulatory picture to VASECT for its effective operation and positive contributions in the 2015-2020 term. into the development of the Construction industry. He hopes that VASECT will continue to register contributions to the golden list of achievements in the process of industrialization and modernization of the country.

Also on this occasion, the Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Structure and Construction Technology awarded certificates of merit to individuals and collectives who had excellent achievements in the Association's activities for the 2015-2020 term.

The congress agreed to elect the VIII Executive Committee term 2020-2025 including 237 members; The examination board consists of 3 people. BCH has elected a Board of Directors including 16 people, in which GS. Dr. Nguyen Van Lien continues to be elected to be the Chairman of the Association; 01 Vice Chairman cum General Secretary of the Association led by MA. Nguyen Van Cong - CONINCO's Chairman; 8 Vice Chairman, 6 Deputy Secretary-General; Standing BCH (including the Board of Directors and members): 43 members.

In the context that the COVID -19 epidemic was still complicated, the preparation for the meeting was thoughtfully, professionally and effectively organized by CONINCO to ensure the prevention of the epidemic during the congress.

With many research projects at grassroots and ministerial levels being recognized and applied, CONINCO has been asserting its strength not only providing construction consulting services but also continuing to promote its strong foundation. on scientific research, contributing to the development of scientific research in particular and of Vietnam's construction industry in general.
