CONINCO Attends Inauguration and Plaque Unveiling Ceremony for the 1.3 Trillion VND Hanoi Children's Palace Project

On the morning of September 21, 2024, the Hanoi People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony for the Hanoi Children's Palace and unveiled a commemorative plaque to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hanoi’s liberation from French colonial rule (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2024). The Infrastructure Engineering Center (T.HT) – CONINCO successfully completed its role in supervising the project’s quality, contributing to the overall success of the project.

In attendance were Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen; Secretary of the Central Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet; Permanent Vice Chairperson of the Hanoi People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha; and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Ha Minh Hai, along with other distinguished guests and children from the capital. Representing CONINCO were Mr. Le Ngoc Quang – Deputy General Director, and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Minh – Director of T.HT.

The Hanoi Children's Palace is one of Hanoi's key projects, invested in during the 2020-2025 period, aiming to become a major cultural and political hub for the children of the capital and the country.
The project, located in CV1 Park and Reservoir in the new Cau Giay urban area of Nam Tu Liem District, includes an 800-seat theater, a 200-seat 3D-4D cinema, a 500-seat sports hall, a 10-lane swimming pool, classrooms and a library, an astronomy tower, and an administrative-office complex.

At the entrance on Pham Hung Street, there is a 68-meter high astronomy tower, which houses two binoculars and a telescope.

The project’s design theme, "Nurturing and Development," features two large circular buildings at its core, forming a cohesive and fluid structure. The design emphasizes closeness to nature, blending modern aesthetics with educational value, making it suitable for children. The Hanoi Children's Palace is also outfitted with advanced equipment to support its operations, including air conditioning, audio-visual systems, mechanical backdrops, and security and fire prevention systems. Additionally, it has technology for the swimming pool, sports hall, and various educational, entertainment, and administrative areas, all in compliance with current standards.

Now operational, the project serves as a cultural and sports hub, providing opportunities for activities, education, entertainment, sports, and physical training for Hanoi’s children. It creates a supportive environment for discovering, nurturing, and developing the city’s future talents. With its modern, dynamic, and creative spaces, the project plays a significant role in promoting a civilized and modern urban environment. The completion of the project in time for the 70th anniversary of Hanoi's liberation is a meaningful gift from the city to its youth on this important occasion.

Speaking at the event, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen expressed her confidence and optimism for the new Children's Palace. With its modern design, spaciousness, connection to nature, and advanced technology, the facility will serve as a cultural and sports center that meets the needs of children's education, activities, entertainment, and physical development. This, in turn, will create a conducive environment for fostering future talents in the city. "Building on its strong tradition, the Hanoi Children's Palace will continue to innovate and make breakthroughs in quality to meet the evolving needs of society. It will contribute to the comprehensive education of the capital’s youth, serving as a place where dreams take flight and childhoods can soar," Tuyen emphasized.
